George Floyd Death: Chrissy Teigen Donates 200 Thousand Dollars To Bail Out Jailed Protestors Across US
Chrissy Teigen who is always unapologetically bold and confident and always speaks her mind off was seen committing to a big step this time by committing to donating a whopping amount for the protestors who were fighting for George Floyd’s brutal death. The supermodel, recently, took to her Twitter handle and announced that she has committed to donating $200,000 to the bailouts of protestors who were fighting for George Floyd’s death across the country. For the unversed, a video went viral on social media when a Minneapolis police officer has been fired and was charged with third-degree murder and manslaughter.

The police officer was seen pressing George’s neck with his knee which eventually took George’s life. Seeing this cruelty against the black people, many have come together to fight out against racism and stood in solidarity and rallied to protest racial injustice and police brutality. However, the situation had gone out of control when the protestors turned violent which then led the police force to arrest them. Due to which, Chrissy Teigen shared a tweet which read, “In celebration of whatever the f**k maga night is, I am committed to donating $100,000 to the bailouts of protestors across the country.”

However, in a now-deleted tweet, one user reportedly criticized her support of the protesters, calling them "Rioters and criminals." This prompted Teigen to double her donation as her another tweet read, "Ooo they might need more money then. Make it $200,000."

She also shared her tweet’s screenshot on her Instagram account and backed it with, “I stand with our heroes out there in support and solidarity. If you don’t know what else to do, every little bit helps. Please see my retweets for direct links. Silence is betrayal.”
